Professional Learning Hub
A place for sharing good practice across the school

We place significant emphasis on working collegiately as a staff to share our expertise and subsequently enhance the learning experience with our students. Every member of the staff is involved in a variety of professional learning programmes that take place every Wednesday across the academic year. All teachers are members of the Chartered College of Teaching.

Our model embodies the DfE expectations regarding professional development summarised below. The professional learning structure reflects whole school priorities while creating leadership and developmental opportunities for staff to evidence against the teacher standards across the career stages. This principled approach aims to draw on the vast experience across our teaching staff to work together to support our collective development and raise standards so that our students receive the best possible experience and opportunities across our curriculum.  The essence of our model is based around research and collaboration.
