What is the 16-19 Bursary Fund?

This fund is allocated to individual schools and colleges offering Post-16 education for the provision of bursaries to three priority groups, categorised as high, medium and lower priority special consideration groups. The 16-19 bursary is discretionary at the medium and lower priority levels and payments will usually be made directly into the student’s bank accounts, although “in kind” bursaries may occasionally be made, e.g. a travel pass, funding for a trip or specific equipment.
