Welcome to the Duke of Edinburgh Award section of the school website.

The Duke of Edinburgh award is the most prestigious award for people under the age of 25 available in the UK. It offers many benefits and rewards for all participants and will open a multitude of doors for future employment and activities.

We offer the award to students in Y10 and above, and at all three levels; Bronze, Silver and Gold. Due to age limits set by the award, we offer Bronze in Y10, Bronze & Silver in Y11 and Silver & Gold to Y12/13 students.

Each year we start again with the process, and open up the award to all those interested. The award has four main sections: Skills, Physical, Volunteering and Expedition. School will only focus on the delivery and participation in the expedition section. All other activities must be completed by students outside of school time.

Expedition training sessions run on a Thursday evening after school, more information is available on the calendar.

There are many staff involved in the delivery of the award, headed up by Mr Phill Monk, under the watchful eye of Miss Stephanie Braines. We also work with other schools in the area and further afield when going out on expedition.

Further information is available on the noticeboard outside B1, or on the DofE website which can be found at www.dofe.org.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
