Southfield School students have been celebrating their GCSE results. This year’s cohort of Year 11 students have continued to demonstrate tremendous determination and resilience throughout their GCSE and vocational courses emerging out of a period of prolonged disruption to their studies.
In the context of national standards returning to those seen in 2019 we are exceptionally proud of the achievements of all our students which have enabled them to take their next steps onto further studies and apprenticeships.
Head of School, Scott Nevett, commented: “Our Year 11 students have done fantastically well. We are extremely proud of their achievements given the many challenges they have faced during their secondary school career. Both students and staff at the school have worked incredibly hard to achieve the successes we have seen today and we would like to thank parents/carers for their invaluable support throughout.
We were delighted to welcome back the majority of our students into our sixth form and wish those moving onto a new destination all the best for the future.”
There are still spaces available; external students interested in studying at our sixth form should get in touch by emailing [email protected]
Our ‘outstanding’ sixth form is located in a new state-of-the-art building with a café, lecture theatre and a range of social and study spaces.
